Roger Repoz

A former Major Leaguer with the Yankees, A's and Angels, Roger Repoz played one unspectacular year with the Taiyo Whales (now the Yokohama BayStars) before joining the Swallows in 1974.

Though he had a bit of trouble making his contact his first year with Yakult (.232 average), "Ro-jah" belted 25 home runs and drove in 54 runs. In 1975, the left-handed batting outfielder hit .292 with 27 homers and 70 RBIs, and a year later his bat remained fairly consistent (.274, 36 homers, 81 RBIs).

Released after the 1977 seasons, the five-year veteran of Japanese baseball compiled a .262 average while clubbing 122 roundtrippers with 76 doubles and 290 RBIs.
